ABOUT RAANAN FISH FEED
Raanan Fish Feed West Africa Ltd. is a Ghanaian Company owned by
an Israeli Company by name Raanan Fish Feed Ltd. It was
established in August 2013. It currently has a staff strength of
about 120 employees.
Raanan Fish Feed Ltd. which was established in 1995, is owned and
managed by Mr Raanan Berzak. It is divided over different
departments namely, Nutrition and R&D, Marketing and Sales,
Production management and Purchasing.
It is the Israeli leader in manufacturing and marketing of fish feed for commercial fish farms (conventional and organic) and for the ornamental fish farms. The organic feed is produced in an exclusive organic feed mill in Vietnam, in accordance with the standard of the Israel Bio-Organic Agriculture Association (IBOAA) and in compliance with the IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) basic standards as well as the European council regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91 on organic production. The conventional fish feed involves a wide range of balanced and complete feeding programs including starter and grower sinking and floating feeds for Sea Bream & Sea Bass, H.S. Bass, Red Drum, Catfish, Barramundi, Tilapia and Carp.
Raanan Fish Feed is certified for quality management system (ISO 9001), for environmental management system (ISO 14001) (in process), for Health and safety management system (OHSAS 18000) (in process) and for Organic by Naturland, Bio Suisse and Agrior, and complies with relevant EU and US Food and Drug Administration requirements. The company is furthermore cooperating with Naturland on converting conventional fish farms into Organic farming systems worldwide.
Knowledge and Experience
The company has its managerial, technical, marketing and logistical expertise, which has successfully been set up and accordingly, markets its products in the country. Part of the raw materials for producing the fish feed are purchased from agricultural farmers who are supported in applying Best Management Practices.
Raanan Fish Feed avails of the necessary managerial and technical expertise to establish a production mill and to manufacture extruded floating feed. The company's team members avail of over 25 years of experience in fish farming systems, including fresh water ponds, sea cages, hatcheries and recirculation systems. Its R&D department ensures up-to-date knowledge related to feed composition and advises on the inclusion of the newest and most efficient production technologies. Raanan Fish Feed furthermore is internationally experienced in targeting export markets. In Sub-Sahara Africa alone it is targeting 5 countries through local distributors.
